Rock legends U2 launched their Las Vegas residency on Friday night, which marks the official opening of the Sphere.
At 336 feet tall and 516 feet wide, the Sphere has been described as the largest spherical structure in the world that will play host to an array of different immersive live experiences.
But for now it is the home of the iconic Irish rockers' U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere residency, who are playing their first of more than two dozen performances scheduled through December 16.
A slew of celebrities were among the crowd of more than 20,000 who are getting the first-look at the much-anticipated show, including actor Jon Hamm and his wife Anna Osceola.
There were other high-profile stars such as Paul McCartney, Jimmy Iovine, Dr. Dre, Dakota Fanning, Connie Britton, Elizabeth Banks, Aaron Paul, Bryan Cranston, Josh Duhamel and Jane Seymour in the audience.

The Mad Men alum stuck a number of poses for the adoring photographers lined up looking to catch the many stars on hand for the event.
Osceola, 35, looked stylish and youthful in bright orange pants that were oversized along the legs, and a black sleeveless top and open-toe heels.
She would have her ginger locks styled long, straight and flowing down over her chest and she opted for minimal makeup.
Dakota Fanning showed off her fashion sense in a black skirt and matching top that hugged her womanly curves from top to bottom.
The I Am Sam actress, 29, also wore black open-toe heels, carried a metallic silver purse, and had her blonde locks styled long and straight with a center part.
